They also report on conservation issues and outdoor politics. Annual dues for Active or Associate members are $75. Apprentice and Student and dues are $37.50. Three-year active and associate memberships are available at a discounted price of $200. All prices are pro-rate between May 1 and Nov. 1 to include the following year. (Active or Associate $112.50, three-year $237.50, Student $56.25)

Corporate Members

Corporate members support these efforts and utilize the association to build relationships with members of the press and potential corporate partners. Most SEOPA media members hail from the 14 most southeastern states, but our corporate members are from all over the country. SEOPA Corporate Liaison Al Snow has a voting position on the SEOPA board of directors. He helps communicate the needs of corporate members to the board. He is actively working to enhance all aspects of the media-corporate member relationship. Annual dues are $200.00. A three-year membership is available for $540.00. These fees are pro-rated between May 1 and Nov. 1 to include next year ($300 and $640.00, respectively).

Benefits

All members receive a membership directory and eight issues of SEOPA News each year. The database and dozens of back issues of SEOPA News are available to members online. SEOPA provides excellent corporate-to-corporate networking opportunities. Electronic membership data is available upon request.

SEOPA Annual Conference

Our annual conference is designed to bring all members together to learn and enjoy networking opportunities in a fun, productive atmosphere at a minimal cost. Our registration day (Wednesday) includes a showcase of tourism partners from the Southeast followed by a welcoming reception and dinner. Thursday is packed with helpful seminars and our annual membership meeting topped off with the awards banquet that night. On Friday we offer a Breakout Day when writers spend an afternoon outdoors exploring the products and services offered by corporate members. We also offer a “hands-on” shooting event on Saturday followed by special sessions and food, drink, and pickin’ and grinnin’.
